Light Speed™ Optex®
Light Speed™ Optex® Premium Body Filler is the world’s best sanding dual cure filler offering unparalleled sanding qualities as a result of the Evercoat patented EcoResin™ technology. As an important product in the Light Speed system, the body filler can be cured on demand in 3 minutes with the Light Speed LED lamp. The filler also features patent pending color-change technology in which the body filler optically transitions from pink to a light gray-green when it’s ready to sand.
Apply in layers with even firm pressure. Do not apply all at once.
UV LIGHT CURING
Regular repair:
Apply UV light (i) at a distance 20 - 25 cm (8 - 10 inches) for 3 minutes, at a maximum tickness of 6 mm
(250 mils)
Diameter area of application - 25 cm
Spot Repair:
Apply UV light (i) at a distance 12 - 13 cm (5 inches) for 2 minutes, at a maximum tickness of 5 mm (200
mils)
Diameter area of application - 13 cm
NOTE: Do not cure at distances below 12 cm or above 25 cm
NOTE: Use UV-A LED Lamp rated at wavelenght of 395 nm and min. irradiance of 30 mW/cm2
for proper cure

The repair will quickly change from pink to a light grey-green once exposed to the UV LED Curing light.
Allow the recommended exposure distance and time to properly cure through the entire repair layer as the
reaction takes place from the top down to the lower layers.

Without UV Light Cure
Allow 30 - 40 minutes for cure. The repair will gradually change colors from pink to a light grey-green,
indicating the repair is dry and ready to sand.
440 Express Light Speed™
440 Express Light Speed™ a 1K UV LED Cured for micro-pinholes that are hard to identify prior to
primer application. This patent pending technology is a high-solids polyester that is easy to apply and
cured in 30 seconds leaving a ready to prime surface. Testing has shown, when used properly, will
eliminate up to 90% of all rework caused by micro-pinholes.
- Shake 440 Express LIGHT SPEED
- Wipe over the entire repair area
Multiple applications may be necessary on larger repair areas.
- Continue to wipe until a light coat has been applied. When applied properly, the repair area will still be
visible through the light coat.
- Allow 30 - 60 seconds flash-off time then expose UV LED Lamp (i) for 30 - 60 seconds and apply a
primer surfacer according to paint manufacturer’s recommendations.
If excess material builds up on the repair area, lightly sand with P320 grit or finer after cured to remove any
excess product prior to applying primer.

NOTES:
- When using waterborne primers, finish by preparing with a grey Nylon Web, then follow your waterborne
coating manufacturer’s recommendation
- 440 Express LIGHT SPEEDTM is not designed to replace polyester glazing putties, or recommended for
use over conventional bodyfiller.

Maximum storage temperature 25 ° C. Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from incompatible
materials and sources of ignition. Keep away from oxidising agents, strong alkalis and acids. Smoking is
prohibited in the immediate vicinity. Prevent unauthorized access. Opened containers should be closed
carefully and tightly. Keep upright to prevent leakage. Do not empty into drains. Do not return mixed
material to the original container.
